The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unwarranted” visa bans issued by the United States on five Europeans involved in fighting online hate and misinformation, an EU official stated.

EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of campaigns to introduce legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
